Chess Club is open to students in grades 3-12. It meets in Room 206 on Wednesday from 3:15-4:15 pm.
We use a local ranking system which encourages students to challenge each other while assisting new comers in learning the strategies of the game. Our focus is on a continuous progression of chess knowledge. Students may be able to compete in area tournaments, the SCISA sate tournament, the SCCA state scholastic tournament and occasionally travel to Orlando, FL to the USCF National Scholastic K-12 competition.
Weekly dues are $1.00 (members are asked to join for the year at $30 which includes a USCF membership and newsletter and a SCCA membership.
