Emie Jackson, 7th grader, swam the 200 Freestyle and placed 2nd overall (6th-12th grades) with a personal best time and another state cut.
She also swam the 50 free with a personal best time and a state cut coming in 5th overall.
She will participate in the State Meet in Augusta, GA on September 24th.
She is only allowed to swim a maximum of two events.
She currently holds 6 state cuts and will decide between those events for the State Meet.
Last year Emie won the first ever state ribbon for Christian Academy at the SCISA state meet in Augusta. She competed against 6th-12th graders who qualified for swimming events with state cut times. Emie swam the 50 freestyle and finished as the fastest middle school girl in the state (finishing 9th overall out of 65 competitors) . She also swam the 100 backstroke and finished 6th place overall (out of 44 swimmers) in the state against 6th-12th graders securing Christian Academy's first swim ribbon.
